CANOPY Publication
Large-format booklet for CANOPY, Wellcome’s citizen art and science festival, bringing health to the heart of Climate Week NYC at The American Museum of Natural History, the UN Headquarters, Governor’s Island and other locations across the city. It aims to democratize public conversation about climate through the lens of health, to celebrate equitable approaches to mitigation and adaptation and to accelerate policy change towards healthier futures for everyone. CANOPY was conceived of, developed and delivered by Danielle Olsen, Rebecca Jacobs and Anthea Longo with the support of many others. Digitally printed in New York by Masterpiece Printers, Inc. who are Forest Stewardship Certified®. I was commissioned to design this book for Wellcome, under the creative direction of Gale Foster and in partnership with Isometric Studio. To get the most from the 4-colour digital printing, I added a bit more cyan to each page, begining with pure yellow, creating a gradient effect throughout the book.
