OSPAAAL Solidarity and Design: 2D Exhibition Design
En palabras de Frantz Fanon, nos unimos a los condenados de la tierra para crear un mundo de seres humanos. In the words of Frantz Fanon, we join the damned of the earth in order to create a world of human beings.
Working on the exhibition graphic design for this project was a dream and a reminder of the possibility of living in a world of cooperation and equality.
I highly recommend checking out freedomarchives.org where you can read scanned PDFs of back issues of Tricontinental, bulletins and supplements that were published in Cuba by OSPAAAL and distributed globally in English.
I recorded the music for this off of a record given to me by Backatcha Records after their trip to Cuba – Chucho Valdés’ self-titled 1970 album from the label Areito. The track is Preludio Nº1 En D
The vocal is a self-described history by Tricontinental.
